Downloader is a free utility, made by AFTVnews, that lets you install apps on Fire TV and Android TV devices that aren't available through the regular app store search.
Why it’s needed
Fire TV’s Amazon Appstore doesn’t list every IPTV player app. Downloader works around that by installing an app package (APK) directly, using a short numeric code instead of a store listing.
How it works
You install Downloader from the Appstore like any normal app. Inside it, you type a code (or a web address) into a URL field, and it fetches and installs whatever app that code points to.
Is it safe?
Downloader itself is a legitimate, widely used tool. Safety depends on only entering codes from sources you trust — use the exact code your IPTV provider gives you, not codes shared on random forums.
Enabling it to install apps
Fire TV and Android TV block app installs from outside the store by default. You’ll need to enable Install unknown apps for Downloader specifically in your device’s developer settings before it can install anything.
