Buffering almost always traces back to a small number of causes — here’s how to work through them in order.

1. Internet speed

Confirm your connection meets at least 10 Mbit/s for HD or ~20 Mbit/s for 4K — see our internet speed guide.

2. Wi-Fi signal strength

Move closer to your router, switch to a 5GHz network if available, or use a wired connection for the streaming device.

3. Other devices on the network

Pause large downloads or other streams on the same network while watching.

4. Device performance

Older or lower-spec streaming devices can struggle with 4K in particular; try HD instead, or close background apps.

5. Peak-time congestion

Occasional buffering during very busy viewing hours can happen on any internet connection, not just IPTV specifically.

If none of this helps

Contact support with your device, app, and roughly when the buffering happens.
