Most IPTV playback issues are connection-related rather than app-related — here’s what’s worth checking on the network side.

What DNS has to do with streaming

DNS translates server addresses into something your device can connect to. A slow or unreliable DNS provider can add delay when your app first connects, even if your overall internet speed is fine.

Simple checks

  • Restart your router if you haven’t recently.
  • Try switching your router or device to a public DNS provider if your ISP’s default one is slow.
  • Confirm no VPN or proxy is interfering with the connection, since some providers block or slow VPN traffic.

When it’s not a DNS issue

If channels load but then buffer during playback, that’s more likely a bandwidth issue than DNS — see our buffering guide instead.
