Where the app comes from
On Fire TV, the app is installed through Downloader, a free sideloading tool, rather than through the regular Amazon Appstore search. Full step-by-step setup is in the Firestick installation guide.
The download step
After entering the Downloader code 6768998 and pressing Go, Downloader fetches the app package (APK) automatically. This usually takes a few seconds on a normal connection.
If the download fails or hangs
- Confirm the code was entered correctly — a wrong code returns an error immediately.
- Check your Fire TV’s internet connection.
- Restart Downloader and try again if it hangs partway through.
After the download finishes
Select Install on the installer screen, then Done. Downloader will offer to delete the installation file afterward — that’s safe to accept.
